About Us
Gaylord Memorial Library’s Youth Services Department is committed to creating a warm and welcoming environment where children and their caregivers can read, explore, play, and learn. In the basement of the library, you’ll find an art table, STEAM exploration space and sensory wall, cardboard castle, chalkboard rocket ship, felt board, sand and water table, and play corner filled with LEGOs, puzzles, games, and toys. Put on a puppet show, investigate slides with the microscope, practice color sorting at the sensory table, create a work of art to take home or hang in our gallery, and, of course, curl up with a good book in our cozy chairs and beanbags!
Our Collection
Our collection includes both fiction and nonfiction board books, picture books, Easy Readers and first chapter books, middle-grade books, and graphic novels. You can also check out DVDs, audiobooks, music CDs, book and CD kits, museum passes, and Begin with Books Backpacks.
