Youth Services

Gaylord Memorial Library’s Youth Services Department is committed to creating a warm and comfortable environment for children and their caregivers to explore the wonderful world of books, reading and learning.  The Youth Services Library is the place to have fun, learn and discover the joy of books.  We are located in the basement of Gaylord Memorial Library.

Story Times at Gaylord 

Story, Craft, and Refreshments! The Story Time program is free and tons of fun, and reading aloud to children has been shown to improve school performance.

Friday Frolic Story Time – Every Friday morning at 10:30 a.m.

A story time for children of all ages. Enjoy a story or two, children’s songs or rhymes, and a simple open-ended craft. There is no registration for this program; just come on down!

Story and Craft Program – “Per Request”

Programs for Primary Grade children can be arranged “Just For You.” Terrific for Boy Scout & Girl Scout Troops & Working Parents. Call the library and ask for Mary to arrange a session!

Computers and Internet

Children and their parents are welcome to use the computers upstairs that are available for public use.  However, we don’t limit the internet access so parental supervision is recommended.  We also have free wifi so that you can use your own devices – just join our guest network.
