New Book Display: Every Day Is A Winding Road

Every Day Is A Winding Road

Wondering what book to pick up in this time of change: seasons, graduations, road trips, and more? Check out our new book display, “Every Day Is A Winding Road: Journeys Across, Within, and Inbetween.” There’s a little something for everyone, spanning the genres of non-fiction, fiction, and young adult, as well as two novels that have been developed into major motion pictures!

Tech Assistant Sarah was the staff member who selected the theme and the titles for this display, and suggests a few further journey stories of her own (mostly YA Fiction novels, with a few others):

  1. “Sabriel” by Garth Nix (Check out the whole Abhorsen Series, this is only book one!)
  2. “The Lord Of The Rings” Trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkein (A classic.)
  3. “The Hero with a Thousand Faces” by Joseph Cambell
  4. “An Abundance of Katherines” by John Green
  5. “Fifty Shades of Grey” by Jasper Fforde (Not THAT “Fifty Shades of Gray…”)

We’d love to hear what your favorite “journey” book/novel is in the comments!

P.S. Paper Towns based on the novel of the same name by best-selling author John Green (mentioned above!) is about to hit the silver screen starring Nat Wolff and Cara Delevigne. The book was inspired by Green’s road trip through South Dakota and learning about real life “paper towns.”
